FirstCustomer helps solo founders and indie builders answer one question: who could be my first customer?
Describe your idea in a short chat. The assistant asks a few clarifying questions and turns your answers into a hypothesis: who the customer is, what problem you solve, and who you are not building for. Then FirstCustomer scans public online discussions for people already describing that problem in their own words.
WHAT YOU GET
- A hypothesis canvas built from your idea in one conversation
- Signals: public posts from people describing the problem, ranked by how closely they match. Each signal shows a short excerpt and links to the original post.
- A list of potential customers drawn from those signals, so you know who to reach first
- Drafts of a first comment or message, written for you to review and edit. You send them yourself. FirstCustomer never posts or sends anything on your behalf.
- Follow-up tasks that keep your research moving between sessions
- A home dashboard with your daily streak, your ideas and your recent scans
Results start arriving within minutes while the scan keeps running.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the app and describe your idea in chat.
2. Answer a few clarifying questions. FirstCustomer builds your hypothesis canvas.
3. It scans public online communities and ranks the posts that match as signals.
4. Review the signals and the potential customers behind them.
5. Draft a first message, then send it yourself.
SOURCES
Publicly available posts from online communities and discussion forums. Paid plans add more sources. FirstCustomer only links to what people have publicly posted. It does not invent customers, signals or demand.
PLANS
FirstCustomer is free to start. Pro and Max are optional monthly subscriptions that raise your limits: more ideas, every signal instead of the top few, the full research profile, and additional sources.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
AI AND YOUR DATA
Your idea descriptions and chat messages are sent to third-party AI services to generate responses. You are asked to agree before first use, and you can withdraw consent in Settings.
