If a sudden alarm feels like a rough way to start the day, try a little light. FlashWake gradually brightens your iPhone or iPad screen at the time you choose. Add sound when you want it.
Set your time. Leave the app open.
Save an alarm and the app switches to a dark waiting screen. At your alarm time, the screen starts dim and reaches your chosen brightness over 10 seconds. It does not begin brightening before the scheduled time.
Find your light
Choose warm sunlight or white, adjust the brightness, and preview it before you settle in. On devices with a camera flashlight, you can use that too.
Make room for your routine
Set a one-time alarm or repeat it on selected weekdays. Include or skip individual dates, or skip public holidays in South Korea and the United States. Need a few more minutes? Snooze for 5 or 10 minutes.
No account needed
No sign-up, ads, or subscription. Your alarms and settings stay on your device and are not sent to a developer-operated server.
Before you use FlashWake
• Screen light and the camera flashlight work while the app remains open in the foreground. Locking your device or switching apps interrupts them.
• FlashWake cannot unlock your device or automatically light up the locked screen. For a sound alarm while locked, turn on sound and allow system alarm access.
• Sound is off by default. New alarms are set to reach full brightness, with the flashlight enabled on supported devices. Preview the light and adjust these settings to suit you.
• Responses to light vary by person and surroundings. FlashWake is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat sleep conditions.
• Requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. Holiday skipping uses the 2026–2027 calendars included in the app.
