The Foocus App helps you turn learning goals into focused sessions and visible progress.
Foocus is a learning and focus app. It is not just a timer.
You start with a main goal and break it down into smaller goals. You can estimate how many focus sessions you need for each one and then work through them step by step.
The idea is to make progress visible. After each focus session, you unlock a piece of a picture. Completing a subgoal unlocks another reward, and reaching your main goal completes the picture.
The app is deliberately kept simple. You can have a maximum of three active goals at the same time. The idea is to focus on a few things that actually matter instead of having a long list of goals and tasks that you never really get to.
Focus sessions are based on the Pomodoro approach, with 25 minutes of focus and a break as the standard setting. You can also adjust the session and break lengths or use different session modes.
You can also track daily and weekly streaks and collect your completed goals in the gallery.
For your focus sessions, you can choose from several background tracks. There is also optional acoustic feedback for the individual steps of a session.
The way Foocus is designed is partly based on behavioral science, including the Fogg Behavior Model. The app should help you get started and stay focused. It should not become another distraction itself.
That is why there are no feeds, endless notifications or unnecessary features. Less is more.
Foocus works completely offline. You don't need an account and your data stays on your device.
The app works on its own. You can also use it together with the optional Foocus Cube, a mechanical timer without a screen.
