Ford Charge Station Pro Setup 4+

Clunky App - unreliable

Pure frustration trying to get thus app to work. Ford customers should not have to work this hard to get a important device like a charger to work. I have spent a number of hours fiddling with this thing. Seems like I finally got the charger on the network but then car did not charge overnight as scheduled. Now charger is off line and not connected. Like others, i have a network repeater in the garage so the network signal is super strong. My Tesla charger has no problem getting and staying on my network. Ford needs to set higher standards for its third party developers or learn how to do things themselves so they can be proud to put the Ford logo on things. I am strongly considering going wit a third party charger and dumping this thing altogether

App won’t connect to charging station Pro. This additional app should not be needed. Please program to connect vehicle and charging thru 1 app only…….”Ford Pass”. You could eliminate the disappoint many loyal Ford customers are dealing. As an engineer, I estimate ford owes me a minimum of $5K for all the hours spent dealing with this poorly written rubbish. I don’t want the $$ I just want all time back. 🙄Let me know when the lightning can do time travel. In the mean time I just need to charge my lightning to get to work. Maybe I can resell this POJ at 15% over MSRP get this “BRICK” out of my garage before the word is out how bad this is. 🤔 Very disappointed!

Waited 8 months to try, due to ratings……

So this app is ONLY needed to attach your Ford Charge Station Pro to your home WiFi, then add to your FordPass app. Once that’s done, you’ll have access to the “connected charger” in your FordPass app. Just tap the little guy at the top right and scroll down to the little square that says “Charge Station”. Pretty insightful information from there. Great addition to my FordPass app, and can better keep track of my actual electricity usage. Thanks!
