Forest Notepad is a simple plain-text editor for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
- Open and save text files with straightforward controls
- Switch between Japanese and English in the app menu
- Work with UTF-8, Japanese Windows text (CP932), and UTF-16 with a byte-order mark
- No ads, analytics SDK, or app-specific account registration
Saving is manual. A local recovery copy is kept on your device, but it is not a substitute for saving your file. There is no app-managed cloud synchronization. If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that service may synchronize your files.
Files up to 10 MiB (10,485,760 bytes) can be opened. Some characters cannot be represented in CP932; choose UTF-8 when needed.
