Was the gate latch quenched last week? How much flat bar is actually left? By the time the fire is lit again, the answers are gone. Forge & Fuller keeps them. THE BENCH PIPELINE Every piece walks six stages, from bar stock to a tagged piece off the anvil: Stock Cut → At the Fire → Filed & Fitted → Heat Treat → Finish → Off the Anvil Move a piece along one stage with a tap. The app is organised around heat, not around tasks — its counters are heats taken, normalising cycles, temper cycles, rivets set and wax coats. WHAT IT TRACKS Pieces in progress and finished, and the bench stage each has reached Heats, normalising and temper cycles, as tallies you can tick with a cold hand Bench steps — your own checklist for every piece Bar stock, coke, flux, quench oil, rivets and wax, with a low floor that tells you when the rack is running down Bench sheets for the pieces you make again and again — the leaf hook, the poker, the tongs Promise dates for commissions and fairs, with a bench call before they're due A dated fire log you can read backwards FIRE DAYS A month grid marks what you promised and what you actually logged, so you can see which days had a fire lit — and how many fire days you've had in a row. YIELD Five months of fire days, read back as patterns: how much you actually finish, what kind of work you make, and where the bench is jammed. No scores, no guilt about a missed day — just the shop's own record. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE Everything stays on this device. No account, no login, no sign-up, no cloud, no tracking, no analytics. The only data that leaves is a JSON file you export yourself. WHAT IT IS NOT Not a metallurgy reference and not a heat-treat authority — it records what you did, it doesn't tell you what to do. Not a marketplace, not a shop-management or invoicing system, not a supplier catalogue, not a course. A bench log, and nothing more.
