Instead of letting these references disappear into your camera roll, Foundform turns them into a collection of individual digital specimens. CAPTURE FOUND OBJECTS Photograph an object directly in Foundform or import something you already captured. Perspective correction helps turn flat objects into clean, straight-on references, while cutout tools isolate irregular objects from their surroundings. BUILD YOUR FIELD ARCHIVE Organize finds into collections without duplicating them. One object can belong to several collections, and each object can contain multiple views — front, back, details or context photographs. PRESERVE THE DETAILS Keep where and when you found something alongside notes and other metadata. Foundform keeps the object connected to the place and moment it came from. REFINE YOUR SPECIMENS Adjust exposure, contrast, color and other image properties. Refine cutouts, correct perspective, add borders and choose how each view should be presented. CONNECT DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL SCALE For flat objects, optionally calibrate real-world scale by marking two points and entering the distance between them. Foundform can then derive the specimen’s physical dimensions. EXPORT FOR DESIGN WORK Export clean PNGs with transparent backgrounds. Calibrated specimens can be exported at their real-world scale and a chosen DPI — useful when bringing physical references into design workflows. MADE FOR VISUAL COLLECTIONS Foundform is designed around the objects themselves. Finds move naturally between your archive, collections and detailed views, making your digital collection feel closer to handling a collection of physical specimens. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your archive is stored locally on your device. Foundform doesn’t require an account or social profile. Find something worth keeping.
