Framing
Read past the headline

The same news, spun two ways. Guess how a headline lands with readers, name the trick behind the spin, and train your eye to read past the framing.
Framing is a short, game about how news are built. Every round gives you one real-world fact wrapped in a newspaper headline, and asks you to see through the wrapper. For each fact there are two front pages, with different interpretations.
Predict the crowd. Read a framed headline and guess how most readers react. How positive or negative does this spin actually land?
Name the technique. Spot the device doing the work: a cherry-picked statistic, loaded language, a headline that doesn't match the story, false balance, an anecdote dressed up as data, or a telling omission.
See the same fact told the opposite way, and watch your own reaction flip.
Researchers call it framing, and it works on almost everyone: shown identical facts in different wrappers, most people reach opposite conclusions, and feel equally sure of each. "Framing" turns that research into a game you can feel yourself getting better at.
