Description
The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi offers a clear overview of all access points in the home network and notifies about available FRITZ!OS updates for your FRITZ! devices. The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi makes it possible recognize whether your iOS device is connected with the FRITZ!Box via a FRITZ! Repeater or a FRITZ!Powerline adapter.
Use the "Measure WiFi" function to evaluate the wireless LAN at various locations in your home network and find out where there might be a WiFi coverage hole.
The "My Repeaters > Evaluate Repeater Position" function checks the quality of the connection between your FRITZ!Box and your FRITZ!Repeater. If the connection quality is suboptimal, you will be directed to position your FRITZ!Repeater further from or closer to your FRITZ!Box.
Click "My Repeaters > Configure New Repeater" for instructions on establishing a connection, and on finding the ideal position to improve the configuration of your home network.
Minimum requirement:
- iOS version 14 or newer
- FRITZ!IOS 06.50 or newer
Comments on "Measure WiFi": measuring can increase the home network traffic. This could impair connection speeds between other devices in the network (for instance, reduced video streaming quality).

Ratings and Reviews
Major problems
Update 2:
Both of my problems have been addressed and solved!
Update 1:
The app now connects properly to my network. Location access was active from the start, so I’m not sure why it suddenly works.
Still, there are unfortunately some major issues:
1: I have two of the same repeaters in my mesh (1750E), and instead of displaying the name I have assigned to them, the app just shows the generic name. Makes it harder to judge which one you are connected to.
2: When measuring the signal to the repeaters the app detects one of the repeaters as being connected to the router via cable, which is incorrect.
Original review:
The app constantly tells me that I'm not connected to my WiFi consisting of a Fritz!Box 6490 and two Fritz!Repeater 1750E. All other apps have perfect connection.
Developer Response ,
EDIT 11/04 - We like to take a closer look at that. Please send us a message directly via the feedback function of the app, attach the protocol file and mention the TicketID 0710. -- Hello river_rage, please check in the settings of your iPhone whether the FRITZ!App WLAN still has the location rights. As of iOS 13, new Apple technical guidelines apply to apps. In connection with WLAN, you must allow an app to access the location so that the app can display WLAN information.
