Fencing Tournament Manager is a professional tournament management app for fencing officials, club directors, and competition organisers running events of any size — from local club meets to open competitions. Built around FIE rules from the ground up, FTM handles every phase of your event: entry management, pool draw, pool scoring, rankings, direct elimination, and final results. POOL PHASE • Serpentine draw with club and nationality separation • FIE-standard bout orders for pools of 4–12 fencers • Teammates are automatically positioned to fence each other first, per FIE regulations • V-notation scoring with tied bout priority resolution • DNS, DNF, and EXC fencer status management per FIE rule o.74 • Live standings (V, M, V%, HS, HR, Ind) update as scores are entered • Pool completion detection keeps the day on schedule DIRECT ELIMINATION • FIE-seeded tables for up to 128 fencers • Correct bye handling and automatic winner promotion • Optional 3rd place match • Score entry with configurable maximum touches • Withdrawal and exclusion handling per FIE rule o.79 • Gold, silver, and bronze results displayed as bouts are completed • Skip Pools option seeds the table directly from entry rankings ENTRY MANAGEMENT • Import from XLSX, CSV, or TSV with automatic column detection • Manual entry and full roster editing • Move, re-seed, and edit fencers at any time before the draw • DNS, DNF, and EXC status management at every phase PRINTING • Pool sheets (landscape, US Letter) with FIE bout order, score grid, standings, and referee signature lines • Direct elimination table with seeding, connectors, and results summary • Seeding list, post-pool rankings, and final results sheets • Print individual pool sheets from the sidebar — useful for reprints on tournament day BRANDING • Add your event logo and header banner • Appears on screen and on every printed sheet • Logos and banners are embedded in the tournament file — no relinking needed YOUR DATA, YOUR MAC • All tournament data is stored locally in the .fence file format • No accounts, no internet connection, no data collection of any kind • Files are standard JSON — easy to archive, back up, or move between Macs Fencing Tournament Manager requires macOS 14.6 Sonoma or later and runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
