Great concept, like the photo tracking and dentist feedback. My app often crashes in the middle of progress photos either while taking the photo or while it’s uploading. Sometimes my photos reload when the app does, other times I have to start over. I also get frustrated doing progress photos, with about half my photos coming out too blurry, which requires extra friction and time to complete and submit progress. I find it difficult to get the correct lighting and angle, even with good natural and focused lighting. The front selfie camera is easier to position, but doesn’t have a flash on my iPhone, which often results in blurry photos. The rear camera is hard to hold to get the correct angle, but comes out better with flash. I wish there was support for camera zoom as well. A few tweaks from this app’s development team could make this app much easier to adopt.

This app is the worst. It takes too much time for pics to load. When it does load it shuts down, sometimes saving last pic, sometimes not. Taking pics is nearly impossible as it constantly states “pictures are too blurry, retake” so frustrating for the user. I’m wondering if receiving pics makes any difference. Is this really worth my time&energy as a consumer? At my initial evaluation in August, I was told that my teeth would be straight and I’d be finished by March of the following year. Here I am three plus yrs after beginning w/ Ortho Fx and I’m still not done despite faithfully wearing my aligners. I very ready to be finished and very frustrated. My teeth look better but I’m not sure I can recommend to a friend. I want a refund.

The experience with the aligners has been great and I really liked the 3D simulation before I started treatment but the app needs some basic updates: 1. it started reminding me to take pictures without even having the aligners. How about a „I am starting to wear them now“ button that could also easily remind folks when it’s time to change to next stage. 2. Taking a „good“ picture is impossible, everything is considered „too blurry“. While I am able to shoot 4K action movies with my iPhone, this app can’t take a single good picture. Maybe use the macro lens? 3. It’s also impossible to take a picture if you are alone: holding the retractor, your phone (way to close to actually see what you are doing), and no way of taking the picture with your volume buttons and/or a timer. This app should have the disclaimer: not usable for singles. Great idea on the app, bad execution - so far.

I hate this app. It’s not functional, my treatment plan is never up-to-date (for ex it says I finished my treatment in August but really I’m going on my second set of refinements and third set of trays). The pictures they have you take are at impossible angles, I finally stopped taking them. Besides, the pics disappear once taken so you can’t see your progress. I have to take progress pics on my phone and made a little folder to keep up with them.They have this “FXcoin” program that supposedly allows you to earn swag when you do your check-ins, but it’s not actually set up. And the interface is so bare bones and gives the “first app ever made” feel. Honestly, I’m so jealous of those who try to use Invisalign’s app. People in my facebook group post screenshots from their Invisalign app all the time and there is so much more functionality with them!
