We have organized Gardenize in 5 major blocks. The first three we call MY GARDEN.
Use the mobile camera to take pictures of plants in your garden or your home. You can take as many pictures as you want, e.g. from different seasons. Or take the opportunity to document plant development, from the time you plant a seed to a full-grown plant and maybe harvest. Write notes such as scientific name, seeding time, height etc. You can also note in what area the plant is growing.
MY GARDEN AREAS
Take photos of your flower beds, raised beds, greenhouse, balcony or indoor and give them a suitable name. Note the size of the area, how much light the area gets and what kind of soil it is. A free text field is available for your special notes.
Start keeping track of what you do and when by using the diary. Pick one of the standard activity types or create one that suits your needs. Choose from your list of plants and garden areas and snap one or more pictures to create fully searchable notes as "Watered Roses in Flowerbed by the kitchen". Add complementary notes in free text field and notes about time and amount.
The last two parts we give you for fun and inspiration.
MY GARDEN FRIENDS
Find and follow friends’ and public gardens all around the globe. Create a smashing profile for yourself and get followers that can be inspired by your work. Choose if you want your account to be public or private. With a private account, you approve your followers.

Ratings and Reviews
A really great concept and I love it but one major problem for me ... the lack of plant database is a deal breaker. I read your notes to other reviewers indicating that’s the point- to enter your own notes but I disagree. As an avid gardener I have easily 200+ plants to add ... the time involved in doing that is outrageous. I should be able to download the basics and then adjust based on my experience / placement / etc. As an example- it would be fantastic to pull in the plant name, scientific name, height, width, ideal environment (sun/shade- acid/alkaline) and then I get actual tips on why a plant may not be prospering where I have it. But then I can customize by adding when planted, fertilized, whether it bloomed each year, etc. Starting from scratch on every detail is crazy.
The app is set up to log garden plants, but I use it for my houseplants and succulents. I have so many houseplants that I couldn't remember their names and what their minimum temperatures are (because I take them outside in the summer), so after researching a bunch I found this app and so far I love it. I've put in all of my plants and their basic needs for fertilizer and temperatures, and it has helped save me a lot of time that I wasted relooking things up.

Hi Sopie, Thanks for your rating and review, and as you say, Gardenize works just as well for house plants as for the outdoor environment!
I love this app a lot! It is nice to have a place to keep all of my plants at. I think likes and comments should be added because I know you can follow people, but, I want to be able to save the things I liked because I would like to grow it. Or you could give people suggestions! (I don’t know if this is in the app or not, if it is I can’t find it.) Great app! Would recommend! 🤩🤩😍🌱🌱🍀
