Bring your TXT, EPUB and PDF books. Reading positions, bookmarks and notes stay on your device; with a paired Apple Watch, you can keep reading on your wrist. GeneralReader is a local reader built for long novels. It does not require an account, and reading works without a network connection. Your library, reading positions, bookmarks and notes stay on your device. Import and read TXT, EPUB and text-based PDF files are supported. GeneralReader detects chapters, builds a table of contents and remembers where you stopped. Long books are handled in chapter-sized pieces, so opening a book does not require loading the whole file. Read in vertical scroll, slide or page-curl mode. Adjust font size, line spacing, margins and theme, or import a TTF/OTF font. Long-press a passage to add a highlight or note. Contents, bookmarks and the progress scrubber are available inside the reader. Organize and export Favorite, sort and search your library. Reading positions and pagination caches survive a relaunch. Notes can be exported as Markdown, plain text or PDF. Apple Watch With a paired Apple Watch, favorites and reading positions sync directly to your wrist. The watch caches the current chapter for offline reading. Contents, in-book search and loading additional chapters require GeneralReader on the iPhone to be running. Sync happens only between your devices. Privacy GeneralReader collects no data and includes no advertising or analytics SDKs. There is no account. Languages The interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Arabic. Notes PDF import requires a text layer; image-only PDFs are not supported. Images and complex layouts in EPUB files are converted to reflowable text.
