Read the pleading and the judgment side by side, quickly toggle between files and walk into court with the whole file on your iPad — working offline. GL Reader is a reading and case-preparation workspace built for advocates — not a generic PDF app with legal wording bolted on. Open the plaint and the impugned order together. Mark the sentence that decides the matter. Link it to the paragraph in the judgment that answers it. Then carry the whole file into court, where the network usually is not. SIDE BY SIDE Read two documents at once — the petition beside the order, the affidavit beside the annexure — or two places in the same document, so paragraph 12 and Annexure 4 sit next to each other. Drag the divider to give either side the room it needs. MARK UP THE WAY YOU ALREADY WORK Highlight, underline, and write freehand with pen or highlighter. Add comments that stay anchored to the exact words they belong to, with a connector line drawn from the passage to the note. Bookmark annexures so you can jump straight to them. LINK THE ARGUMENT, NOT JUST THE PAGE Connect a passage to another passage — in the same document or a different one — and name the relationship: follows, distinguishes, contradicts, relied on. Both ends carry the same marker, tap either to jump to the other, and the colour tells you at a glance whether an authority helps you or cuts against you. This is the part that turns reading into an argument you can defend. RESEARCH WITHOUT LEAVING THE MATTER Search Supreme Court and High Court judgments — over 2.3 million of them — and read a structured summary first: issues, holding, precedents cited. When a case is worth keeping, save the official PDF straight into the matter with one tap. Central and State Bare Acts are searchable too, down to the section. ASK YOUR OWN FILE Ask a question across every document in a matter and get an answer with citations back to the exact page, so you can verify it. Runs on GenLaw's own servers — your documents are never sent to a third-party AI provider and are never used to train models. WRITE THE SUBMISSION A full-screen Brief sheet lives beside the record, with bold and numbering, for drafting your submissions while the authority is still in front of you. BUILT FOR COURTROOMS WITHOUT WI-FI Documents download to the device automatically. Reading, highlighting, comments, links, bookmarks and the Brief all work with no connection at all.
