Golf Genius 4+

App is ok. We use it every week for our weekend games at the club (past three years or so for a group of 50+ golfers). It’s very messy when it comes to registration and cancellation. When I go to open tee times and confirm a spot, there is no way to take myself out of the tee sheet if something changes in my schedule or if it was a mistake. How difficult could it be to allow someone to cancel their own registration. We have several issues every week because of this. We’re now looking at other options that could do a better job.

My men’s club uses golf genius to manage all of our tournament needs. It’s ok. It’s clunky. Either GG has poor training or lacks customer support, likely both. The app won’t let me access my club but the site will. My mens club board doesn’t know what’s going on and GG is nowhere to be found. I’ve deleted the app, reinstalled, shut my phone down, soft reset. Downloaded the app directly from the site where I’m logged in and accessing my club. Still nothing. Gonna be hard to track my tournament scores live as required by my club…

The error that continues to pop for me is “You are not part of any leagues / events / trips”. Inaccurate since I’m accessing my league with all the same login information.

Side note, it’s not the most user friendly when tracking your scores and summarizing your round at the end to balance to your official card. It’s fine in that aspect but is not exceptional.

Furthermore in regards with the log in situation, there are two methods in which you can log in: either with an Event/League GGID or with your email & password. The Event/League GGID needs to be distributed by the club you are part of. As for logging in with email & password, you need to be a registered user in Golf Genius, not just part of the roster.

I have been a user of the Genius app from nearly the beginning. This company and this product is superior in every way to other scoring and tournament software apps. I researched multiple options and every year when my renewal comes up I look again. The features alone are worth the product, but as an admin and profesional, what keeps me coming back is the outstanding and quick customer support. I get better support from Genius than not just a “golf” company, but any company at all. Add to this their receptivity to product enhancement suggestions and you can’t go wrong!
