Finally keeping my plants alive

I have always been the bringer of death to every plant I have brought home. From cactus to snake plants to outdoor gardens, everything ended up the same way. I was ready to give up and stick to plastic plants and flowers, but then I found Greg! I now have a small thriving collection of beautiful house plants and even a thriving elderberry bush I love! The app itself is wonderful at helping remind me on watering and fertilising schedules (although it’s important to remember it’s a suggestion and you still have you use judgement on if the plant needs watering or to wait) it helped teach me the basics on lighting and how I was incorrectly placing so many plants in wrong areas for so long. Greg is helpful with providing advice on different aspects of plants I own which has been really great. But my favorite part of Greg is the AMAZING community! I can’t tell you how truly fantastic the people are! They have helped me through every plant crisis and every little question I have had. I can not recommend Greg enough!!!

Wonderful Concept, But The Bugs…

I am thrilled that this app exists, and there are so many things I love about it! But I have to echo previous reviews and say that the Plant ID feature is lacking. My Bush on Fire Croton was ID’d as a Gold Dust Croton (after multiple pictures from different angles), and my Dark Mystery Pilea kept getting ID’d as an Aluminum Plant. I experienced multiple issues when filling out the “profiles” for each of my plants. I was unable to set the desired cover photo (even after deleting all other options). The names of my plants kept resetting or even copying the names from my other plants, and at one point, some points, the plant profiles would either clone themselves, or disappear entirely. There is also a lot of lag/glitches when I am switching between screens. When I select the buttons about “difficulty, pot type, etc”, sometimes the screen it goes to is just blank. I have to restart to app to get it to fix itself. On the whole, this app has SO MUCH POTENTIAL and I am thrilled that it is in the works. But I don’t get the impression that it is polished enough to have paid features at this point in development. If everything ran smoothly, I’d be more than happy to subscribe for a year, but the amount of problems I’ve seen on day one of the free trial is discouraging.

Super handy for more than just a watering schedule

I love the social aspect of the app, and the little tidbits of information on the home page.

This app will totally help you water more regularly, but also it just helps keep track what type of plants you own. I often forget the official names of my plants and having this information so readily on hand makes researching fertilization needs, when to repot, pest treatments etc etc way easier. It also helped me identify a few plants that I had 0 idea what kind of plant I owned.

For edits I’d love to see: I want to be able to keep more information about my plants. Which plants share containers, whether my plants are in a closed/semi closed terrarium or in water. The social and cataloging aspect of the apps has made it fun to add plants that I don’t need a water schedule but I also feel bad that those plants could affect their algorithm. I also want to add more scecific descriptions about my plants updates “turning greener” “my current goal for this plant” “testing out this propagation methods.” “This method kicked my fungus Gnar problem” I love to see what other people are thinking about their plants, and I want to share what works for me.
