Open the app and the gradient color tells the story in a glance: lighter green means cleaner power right now; darker tones mean it’s dirtier. No menus. No jargon. Just a quick read on your impact.

• MOER — the Marginal Operating Emissions Rate: the extra CO₂ emitted if one more megawatt-hour is used right now. Shown in lbs CO₂/MWh, it’s the most actionable way to time charging and appliances.
• Fossil % — the share of your grid currently powered by fossil fuels.
Plan smarter with a 24-hour forecast for your region. If emissions drop in an hour or two, you’ll see it, so you can delay EV charging, laundry, or heating/cooling to a cleaner window.
Built on trusted public data. The app combines reliable datasets (U.S. EIA grid operations and EPA emissions) with robust statistical modeling. Data are refreshed throughout the day, so shifts in demand are captured in near real-time.
Location-aware, nationwide coverage. We use your current location to map you to your Balancing Authority (BA) so you’re seeing the electricity you actually consume. The majority of major U.S. BAs are supported.
