We've fixed an issue that affected some users when storing new product details and made some improvements to the performance of our app.

We have fixed some bugs and made some improvements to make sure you keep your pricing sharp and on point. Also in this update we have made some changes behind the scenes in preparation for our next round of features.

Working hard to make this the most flexible Margin & Profit Calculator for Retailers & Wholesalers. In this update I have continued to focus on Omni-Channel retail and added a new platform for your convenience - Etsy. After you update the app, just head into the Configuration Tab / Marketplaces and select Etsy from the list. The default transaction fee is 6.5% but you may need to adjust this for your region. The Listing Fee can be entered as a Fixed Fee if you wish to include this n your pricing calculations. I have also resolved two small bugs to make the app more consistent. These did not affect the calculation engine. Thank you to everyone that has been in touch with ideas - they are VERY welcome. In this update I have made some behind the scenes improvements to the Inventory section to keep the app running smoothly and to make sure you can keep making pricing decisions quickly and accurately. I update this app frequently to make it the best app for retailers and specifically omni-channel or online retailers that use aggregator platforms such as eBay. In this minor update I have added the convenience of a search capability for products by name. Small addition that makes the Product database much more useable. In this release you have the possibility to do a lot more with your inventory: - Store more details about your products - Use your stored inventory to pre-populate the Margin Calculator. This makes it MUCH easier and quicker to check pricing and make adjustments. And of course the way your inventory data is used in the Calculator is completely driven by how you customise the app to reflect the way you do business. Also in this release behind the scenes I have made some changes to make Gross Margin Calculator work more smoothly and squished some bugs and fixed a little snafu that was causing a problem in the Discount Tool. In this release I have added a valuable new feature for product merchants. You are now able to build an inventory of products with cost details for the last purchase price and the anticipated cost of shipping the item. By creating your Product Inventory in the new Products tab, these products will automatically be available to you in the Margin Calculator and act as a template. This makes checking your standard products much faster and a more streamlined workflow. Use case: this is designed to help you validate margins when buying stock. Check to see if the price has increased since your last purchase and if it has then make sure you are still able to make sufficient margin. I'm continuing to work hard to make Gross Margin Calculator the most powerful and flexible app of its kind. Your feedback and feature requests are vital to making this a great app! In this new release I have added "PLATFORM PROFILES" This allows online retailers to create and store different cost profiles for different platforms (eBay, Shopify and so on). These are then available for use in your profit calculations and makes it easy to switch between and see the difference in profit. As always please keep sending ideas for new features - I want this app to be what you need, so please keep telling me what would be helpful in your business!

Performance improvements and bug fixes. In this release I have made some improvements under the covers.

In this release I have squashed some bugs under the hood, and changed our name so it better reflects what the app is all about. I have also added some refinements to the Discount Tool, to make it more intuitive around GST (or VAT as it is called in the UK). I will be working hard on the next release to make Profit and Markup the best app available for these kinds of business calculations. Your feedback is always welcome and contributes to new features and the direction I take with the app.

In this release: - Included user suggestion for easier clearing of input fields - Made improvements to the User Interface to improve your experience - Made some internal improvements to squash a bug you told me about.

Excited to add Platform Costs in this release. If you sell on any of the major eCommerce platforms (such as eBay, Shopify, Amazon etc.) Gross Margin Calculator will now calculate and include the appropriate fees. This will save you a lot of time and hugely simplifies calculating your planned Sales Price for different platforms to achieve your target margins. To start using Platform Costs, visit the new Configuration screen and enter a cost profile appropriate for your business. Takes less than a minute and then you are all set! In this release I have also included some usability enhancements and resolved a rounding error.

In this release we have added Delivery as a separate item in Costs and Pricing. The Delivery Feature is for people pricing physical products which will incur a cost to delivery it to the customer. Enable it in the settings page and make product pricing more flexible and dynamic. Experiment with different price presentations where delivery is broken out or "hidden" in a single overall product price.

The latest version contains UI improvements and a way for you to send Feature Requests from right inside the app. Excited to hear more of your suggestions!

What's new: I have added more features to help you understand pricing profitability in your business to offer your customers a compelling price whilst making sure you optimise profit.  - Add a new screen Discount Checker. Simply enter the list price (or starting price) coupled with the total cost for the transaction and then experiment with different discount percentages whilst instantly seeing the effect on Gross Margin and Cash Profit. Gives you the discounted Price and %discount at your fingertips.  - Minor tweaks to the user interface to improve usability.  - Fixed two internal bugs that were concerned with rounding in certain situations.

In this release I'm excited to implement Sales Tax within the app, but in a completely flexible way that I hope you will find super useful. To activate the new feature just go into Settings and enter a default value for Sales Tax in your country / territory. The Calculator will then automatically wake-up the new feature. If you don't need it, just set the value back to 0 and the feature goes to sleep.
