Great app for my team

I use this app for my work team. I have several different group chats. Really helps me keep information organized and easy to disseminate to my team. It also helps me keep home and work life separate since I can PM someone instead of texting them. I do have a couple wish list items to be able to give 5 stars. I like being able to add events but the app really needs a full calendar feature that can be shared to the whole group so added events can be seen and accessed through the app. Also, the polls feature is nice but I need an easy way to revisit the polls after closed and be able to see who voted for what. For example, I use the feature when I need to order promotional t-shirts for my team and they vote on sizes. That helps me place the order but then I’m lost a few weeks later when the shirts come in because I can’t see who voted for what size. Also, photos seem to upload at a very reduced quality and I am unable to upload photos/screenshots that show intended detail when zooming in. Also, it’s infuriating that I cannot edit a post. I understand this may be because it sends texts to members that don’t use the app but there must be a way to make this happen (update the post in the app and sent a text update perhaps?) and I need to be able to delete posts/groups more easily, only being able to hide them is ridiculous.

Pretty good, with one complaint

This app works well and is excellent for large group chats for the most part. It’s easy to switch between groups and I’ve never had a problem with messages coming through or notifications. It’s been wonderful! HOWEVER, I really wish members could comment on a post. Instead, important messages get lost in a sea of responses and different topics so every conversation is an endless cycle of scrolling. If I want to look back at what someone said a few days ago (like when and where to meet, for instance) I have to scroll through every single message (and “lol”), instead of things being neatly nested so I can just scroll through topics. Other times, if other people start talking and I miss it I end up scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling back to see what on earth they’re even talking about and honestly, by the time I find it I usually just don’t even care anymore, I’m so numb by the search for the one little comment that started the whole conversation.
I’ve tried using other apps because of this issue, but this app really is superior performance wise, except for this ONE thing.
Developer Overlords, PLEASE, please let us thread comments so we can stop this endless scrolling!! I can’t take it much longer! But nice job on the app overall. There’s a reason I’ve held out so long.

Group name in notifications

Could y’all make it so that we can see which group a person belongs to in the notifications area? Specially the lock screen? Currently, if a GroupMe notification alerts your device, you only see the person’s name and not which group the person is from. It would be SOOO helpful, if I was able to see which group a person was chatting from without opening the app.
For users involved in several groups with similar people, it’s critical to know which group the notification came from ASAP. iMessage has this feature and it is a lifesaver when you need to respond quickly.
It’s like knowing it’s a friend from ‘hot yoga group’ asking about the last minute location change and not someone in your ‘biology study group’ asking were class is. Imagine being in different groups with people who have the same name! It’s so confusing when you read a message from John thinking it’s John your work supervisor when it’s really your best friend John sending you a picture of the roach he found in the bathtub. (Bc you cannot see pictures in the notifications which is another comment altogether).
I still love this app! Best group messaging there is!
