Connecting casual and hardcore gamers to games, stores, events, clubs, and more!
Gstone runs the largest tabletop games community in China. In addition to having the largest tabletop games database in both Chinese and English, we have over 300,000+ users in China to help gamers connect to gamers, 3,500+ games in our online store for sale, over 20,000+ game clubs and locations to help gamers find their nearby location, game group, and/or event to play games at! In short, we’re a one stop service for everything tabletop games!
We believe that face-to-face tabletop games is the source of a happy family, healthy relationship, long-lasting friendship, and the soul to connecting humanity.
①We believe "offline" social interaction brings a sense of real joy that cannot be experienced in the virtual world.
②Tabletop "games” travels across ancient and modern times, connecting the young and old, merging nationalities and regions, and truly brings humanity together to feel that joy together.
③Gstone helps users find all types of tabletop games (board games, murder mystery games, TCG, RPG, miniature games etc.), people, location, game clubs, events and more all-together in just a few clicks. Players no longer need to jump from platform to platform, app to app to buy/search/discover/meet/connect, Gstone helps players achieve everything in just one consolidated app, so our users can save more time to actually play games!

I don’t like sending friend requests multiple times to the same people. With more users signing up, I can’t remember who I’ve sent requests to. Would be helpful if there was an “awaiting reply” notice from users you’ve previously reached out to... just a thought. Also, 50 characters for a message is a little on the short side.
“THE” Boardgame APP
Anton jones
I got to be one of the lucky USA users to help do testing for this app. What I can tell you is when this thing rolls out. It’s going to give us gamers a perfect solution to all the different Spaces we use. It has rules for pretty much ever game. It has a scheduler so I can host “gatherings” at my favorite spots. I can review games and even manage my boardgame friend groups. It’s pretty flippin’ Awesome. Can’t wait to see this roll out and get more traction. We need more “playgrounds” aka stores to come online. If you get this app get your local game store to add themselves it’s gonna make this app truly awesome.
Fun App But Too Many Bugs

This app seemed very promising. I logged in and registered pretty easily. The app crashed the first time as I was trying to create my guild/club. The app crashed a 2nd time again later when I was creating an event. I was able to customize my Meeple and nickname. I was able to create my club and first test event.I asked a couple of people from my game group to login. They were able to register and log in pretty easily. They requested to join the new club but their apps also crashed. I liked that you could add some of your favorite games to your profile. I liked that you could add locations, pictures, and information for the club. I like that there was a club chat feature. That’s why I didn’t give this app 1 Star. I was hoping there was a feature that allowed participants to vote on which games they wanted to play. There was no such option. Additionally, we were unable to sync our BGG accounts. After the app crashed a 3rd time I was done. I’m very disappointed.
Use case? Privacy?

I downloaded the app out of curiosity as it was advertised on The Dice Tower. One major red flag is the requirement of a phone number. That’s a major privacy concern. I used a generic google voice number to register because you shouldn’t give out your number to some random app. I looked at the apps features, and I don’t know what the use case is for this app. There’s no bgg integration (you can’t download your collection or plays). You can share your location to find other nearby gamers I guess, but that’s also another potential privacy concern. Just makes more sense to find a local meetup if you want to find local gamers. I’m just not sure what the use case is for this app. And the potential privacy issues are problematic.
Developer Response
Hey buddy, thanks for your feedback! 1) phone number - we originally tried to limit mal activities by having phone number as the only ID so mal-intended peeps don’t make a hundred accounts to rate games (because this happened in our alpha test), and since we have offline gatherings, we want to make sure they are aware for security reasons. Your phone number is 100% kept private and won’t be disclosed (unless you choose to disclose it if you’re a store or shop owner). Also per user feedback, we will be enabling email registration starting in late December so kindly look out for that! 2) BGG sync will be available this Friday, given the AppStore review process goes thru! 3) location sharing - you can turn this off both in app and out side of the app, as before we started the app we did a gamer survey and majority of the feedbacks was to find users nearby so we added this function. Since this is still our beta with only one major marketing campaign with the dice tower, we don’t have many users on yet, but once we do you should be able to find more users nearby. Hope this answers your concerns. Cheers!
