It's time for a SECOND Hack RUN!
Note: 'Hack RUN 2 - Hack ZERO HD' is a prequel to the app 'Hack RUN'. You should play 'Hack RUN' before starting this game.
>>> "...I promise you that today's hacking game for the iPhone is worth the look. It's called Hack Run ZERO, and here's why you need to check it out..." - AppChronicles.com
Test your skills again as you hack your way through strange and secretive organizations to discover their hidden agendas! Hack ZERO HD uses old school prompts (like dos and unix) to help you navigate from system to system. As you access users' accounts, you'll discover more and more about the organizations and the people that work there.
Your adventure begins when you receive a disturbing ransom note about a loved one. Your only way to set them free is to follow the kidnapper's shady demands. Once again your mission is to penetrate the maze of computer accounts through the use of your hacking skills. The stakes run high as you uncover more and more of the enemy's diabolical plan; and with over 70 levels there's no guessing how it will all end!
The iPad 'HD' version contains additional features not found in the standard iPhone game such as functional 'command' windows that can be resized and moved around the terminal.
Stuck on a level? Just use the 'hint' or 'answer' commands to help you along.
Make sure to play the THIRD, FOURTH and FIFTH games called 'Hack Time HD', 'Hack NET HD' and 'Hack WATCH' after you complete this game!
'Hack RUN 2 - Hack ZERO HD' is a game. It is not a tool or aid for learning how to hack into real computer systems. i273, LLC does not endorse hacking.

This is a really good game to take up time...but I can't get bast the level where you enter in the address for the comm settings. I do what it says exactly but the game keeps giving me an error. Please help.
Not nearly as good as first Hack Run
I loved the original. This one is frustrating. The passwords are less logical -- based on clues -- and there is more guessing involved.
Worse, over and over again, there is really nothing to do except read a mail, and then wait for a new mail while you twiddle your thumbs (wander around the system aimlessly.)
Worst of all, the game keeps "aborting" commands to announce new emails. Really. Do you think I enjoy typing (on an iPad virtual keyboard!) for no good reason? It won't announce the emails unless you type something so you are set up for this to happen over and over. This is what drove me to come write this review before I even finished the game.
If this was the first game in the series, I woudn't have bought any more. As it is, I'm probably willing to try again with #3, if I can get thru this one. Though as good as the first one was, $3 seems a little steep for each entry in this series.
Another great plot and story, I especially liked the atmosphere where it made you feel like everything is real just like the first one, my only complaint is some of the mail don't give enough hints or maybe that's just me, still, 5 stars for the awesome game keep up the great work :D
