Ratings and Reviews
The screen resolution hurts my eyes and the interface is rough. A friend recommended checking this app out but it'll likely need a lot of love to make it back onto my phone. After 2 years they finally pushed an update and I don't notice any differences.
New update, slow loading time, dumb Facebook integration
I'm torn on how to review this app's new update. It is an extremely useful app that does a great job.
That being said, its default load screen is ALL of its data for your city, and to load on wifi connection takes 10-15 seconds where the app is completely frozen and you are watching a loading scroll wheel. To switch between neighborhoods takes 5 seconds of watching the loading scroll wheel and this appears on every bar as well. I don't want to imagine how long this will take on cellular data. It would feel faster and less frustrating to go to Safari and look up bars you are thinking of visiting rather than watching the loading wheel.
The general presentation of the app can feel clunky in comparison to most others. It just doesn't feel crisp. Most graphics have fuzzy edges. Presentation of information feels cluttered. I can't figure out what little flame next to name of every bar/restaurant means but it's there.
The inability to save favorite bars without Facebook login is really frustrating. I don't necessarily want Facebook knowing what bars I frequent. Why would you cripple one of your app's features for this?
I'd say download it and use it but this app has room for serious improvement
Looks like I’ll have to stick with using thrifty hipster in a search engine. This app is completely inaccessible for persons using voice over. None of the buttons are labeled. It’s an easy fix, and I hope The app developer is proactive in fixing it!
