I just took a Haylup by myself (I am a 23 year old girl), and thought I was safe since I took one that was designated to be allowed into campus. Once I got to my dorm, the driver repeatedly told me I needed to tip him in order for him to let me out. This was incredibly scary since I was all by myself and didn’t have the update where I could tip on the app. I repeatedly told him I will update the app and tip him once I got out and into my dorm. Overall, I do not feel safe taking these rides alone. UPDATE: The founder of the app contacted me and took care of the situation! They took my complaint very seriously and fired the driver this happened with. Furthermore, he made sure to reach out to all of the other drivers to reiterate their policies and protocols and that this situation is not okay. There was a lot of compassion with the handling of the situation and he assured me it would never happen again.

Very easy to use and great drivers. Love the simplicity of requesting your ride and paying. No long waits to be connected to your driver, they even call you to confirm that they’re on the way. Forever a Haylup customer.

I tested the app and all the rides were smooth and people were polite. Very good service to have on the island. However, there is no way to edit your profile through the app. I cannot change form of payment in case my card expires. I would not be able to change form a new one.

My boyfriend and I both use this app regularly, and it has been a great app when it works. Now the problem is that for the past week neither of us have been able to log in, it gives us an error, and then takes us back to the log in information. So far we have to rely solely on buses or a friend to pick a ride for us.
