HEON
Family chats, calls and tree
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
HEON (Khion) means "kin" in Ossetian. It is an app for families and clans: to chat, call, share news and keep the memory of your family together.
We built it for relatives of every age — from grandchildren to grandparents. Big buttons, plain words and a separate text-size setting. The app honestly shows what is going on: whether a message was sent, whether the call went through, whether you are online.
MESSAGING
• Private and group chats; every family name has its own family chat.
• Photos and videos (including albums), files, voice messages, emoji and reactions.
• Reply, forward, edit and delete messages, pinned messages.
• "Delivered" and "read" ticks, "typing…", "last seen".
• A message written offline is sent automatically as soon as you are back online.
• Search across all chats.
CALLS
• Voice and video calls, including group calls — bring the whole family into one conversation.
• Incoming calls ring even on a locked phone, like regular calls.
• Speakerphone, speaker and headphone choice, call history.
STORIES AND FEED
• Stories: short videos and photos from your loved ones, with likes and comments.
• A shared feed for the whole family, with reactions and comments.
FAMILY NAME AND FAMILY TREE
• Find your family name or create a new one; joining is approved by the family moderator.
• Living tree: fill in "My family" — parents, spouse, children, brothers and sisters — and watch the branches grow into one tree.
• A formal family tree kept by moderators, a family coat of arms, subgroups.
FAMILY LIFE
• Events with a calendar — weddings, gatherings, memorial days — with "Going / Maybe / Can't go".
• Announcements and polls for the whole family.
• Anyone can suggest an event, announcement or poll — moderators publish it.
PEOPLE YOU KNOW
• With your permission, HEON checks the numbers in your contacts and shows who is already here. You can skip it.
COMFORTABLE AND SAFE
• Themes, light and dark, five text sizes.
• You decide what others see about you.
• Report a message, story, post, comment or person and block unwanted users in two taps; reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
• Delete your account right in the app.
• No ads, no tracking.
The app is free. You need a HEON account to sign in — register right in the app with your phone number. The app interface is in Russian.

Fixed an interface freeze during call connection handling. Improved voice-message and status recording, search, new chats and avatars. Fixed navigation and back navigation when opening a chat from search. Chat-list search now opens using the search button. Updated the appearance of call screens and personal chats, and restored the familiar appearance on other screens.
