HETF
Heavy Equipment Task Force
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
HETF replaces the paper a heavy equipment contractor fills out at the end of every shift on a
wildfire assignment.
Fill out the Emergency Equipment Daily Shift Invoice on the phone, collect both signatures on
the screen — the contractor's and the government inspector's — and email the finished PDF to
the incident's Finance section before you leave. No more carbon copies, no more waiting until
you are back in cell range with a scanner.
WHAT IT FILES
• Emergency Equipment Daily Shift Invoice — the daily, dual-signed money form
• After-Dispatch Roster (Exhibit J) — your equipment and crew as dispatched
• Single Resource Shift Ticket (OF-297) — for a resource working on its own
BUILT FOR THE PAPER, NOT AROUND IT
Every form prints exactly like the printed original, in the same fixed rows and the same order,
so a Finance clerk reads it the way they always have. The generic pre-printed equipment type is
what prints — a Feller Buncher prints as a Feller Buncher, whatever you call your machine.
FILL IT ONCE
Your Company Profile — business details, equipment, operators, VIPR agreement number — fills in
the top of every form. Set up a Task Force for a dispatch and every shift filed against it
starts pre-filled with the incident, the agreement number and the resource order.
THE REST OF THE SHIFT
• Photograph receipts for reimbursable expenses as you go
• Keep inspection reports, licences and agreements where you can reach them
• Re-send any form you have already filed, to a new address or the same one
• Add a dated note to a document after it has gone out — it becomes a new version, printed after
the signatures, and the original stays exactly as it was signed
• Invite a foreman so more than one person can file for the company
WORKS WHERE THE WORK IS
A signed invoice is never lost to a dead bar of signal. It is held on the phone and sent as soon
as there is a connection, so you can close out a shift at the fire and let it deliver on the way
down the hill.
Sign in with Face ID. Everything is stored against your company account, so a new phone signs in
and has your equipment, your crew and your history.
HETF is for contractors working under a federal Emergency Equipment Rental Agreement. It is not
affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of the USDA Forest Service or any government agency.
