This app is superb. It is by far the most customizable bible app on the App Store when it comes to formatting. Paragraph kjv? Check. Precise margin adjustments? Check. Fonts, font sizes, margins, line spacing, indentation or not, HIDE VERSE NUMBERS for readability!, customizable colors, theme saving, highlights , bookmarks, customizable interface, and more.It loads fast and has additional study tools available for purchase in app as well. You can view a reasonable set of translations and split the view to have up to four bibles side by side. The kjv can be used offline, but others may require the internet.Has a great search function that works well. iCloud backup of notes, highlights, etc. Overall, it is my favorite bible app by far on iOS. The developer is very good with communication and support as well.My only desire would be a "slightly" more advanced reading plan. It is simple and works well, but being able to pick a start date would be ideal (I don't always start a plan on January 1), and other apps have far more options. However, for what I use the app for, mainly a very readable and clean and book-like bible experience, the app absolutely excels. I can use other apps for a reading plan (such as ReadingPlan, which can launch this app for readings and is almost the equivalent awesomeness for a reading plan app).Highly recommend this app. For actually reading the Bible, there is no better kjv app. Period.

I’ve been using this app for at least 11 years. It is occasionally somewhat glitchy, but it has access to SO much useful information that a few glitches might be … understandable(?).With one tap, you can read commentaries from some of the most highly-regarded scholars, as well as finding cross-references for EACH verse, and even word-for-word translations from Hebrew and ancient Greek. All that, including easy access to Strong’s Concordance!As I said, it can sometimes be a little bit glitchy, but it’s still quite easy to navigate to find what you need.I highly recommend this if you’re interested in learning God‘s word!There are plenty of good Bible apps with daily devotionals, various reading plans, etc. that are perfectly okay for some users. But … If you really want to dig in to Scripture, this is the way to go!

Very quick, pulls up and navigates instantly. Easy to navigate, tons of customization options (I recommend Baskerville font), and for just a couple bucks tons of notes and commentaries. Has the online ESV and several other translations offline. Just discovered the very nice notes system which sorts notes by chapter: very quick and easy way to take notes. Simple and lightweight, with no silly "social" features beyond basic sharing. Lightweight and looks great. Recent updates have indeed changed many things, and the developer (Paul) has worked his tail off to make a great looking app that is also easy to navigate. I truly believe he has done this with the most recent update, and the app continues to improve regularly. He updates it very often.

I heard a sermon preached in which the preacher quoted his mentor from many years earlier, saying, “Preach the Word; the rest is garbage.” I’ve used several Bible apps over the years, and so many have fancy features, bells, and whistles that are not necessary. It distracts me from the Word of God, and sometimes keeps me from the depth of the riches within.In this app though, I’m grateful to have found a sleek, simple interface (the Dark Mode is nice to not keep me up too late from blue light after I finish reading!). Looking forward to much reading ahead.At $0.99 for the commentaries and reference pack, I decided to support this app immediately. Thank you for maintaining this app for so long! Blessings.
