HTML Egg 2 from HTML Egg Pro

Not sure what there trying to do but Egg2 is no way close to Egg Pro. Very confusing! Waste of money.
Not sure how to test it or publishes your Website. Some videos show some steps but they show just one file is to be ready to Publish. Just wierd. They need a lot of updates.

This version of a good app HTML Egg pro is completely wortheless, they took away direct publishing and you have to do it through FTP. Please don't buy it! I want my money back!

Developer Response ,

Hi there, HTML Egg 2 introduces a new and improved file format. For Egg 1 users, you will still work with the same drag-and-drop editor that you are familiar with. Please note Egg 2 now outputs designs to source format, we know some users are struggling with this change. To help Egg 1 users transition to the new version, we have updated the tutorial section and the FAQs with new content tailored for HTML Egg 2. We hope you will find the new tutorials helpful. The support team is here to help if you have any questions.

Amazing waste of money & time.

I have worked with HTML code and HTML editors for years. I have always loved HTML Egg. It has always been a great tool for any web developer that is looking for a fast, simple, and professional HTML editor.
So I am baffled as to why this developer would destroy this "once" great app.?

So while you can always get an FTP app., you have to struggle with FTP editors that allow you not to just send a file from one place to another, but you also need to find a FTP app. that allows you to easily edit both file and file names on both server and local drives. Without this, (and this developer doesnt even recommend one that works easily with their product) your work load becomes more than double, becasue now you not only have to concentrate on your HTML editing, but now you also have to worry about FTP clients, file editors, images and how and where to FTP the images to. This includes the massive amount of time I have wasted just trying to figure out where the heck this apps code is being written and how do I edit it? Plus, remember, your are still trying to be in creative mode because you are writing or editing a website that relies on you and your HTML work...
So now you must write the websites and also go and find yourself a FTP app that gives you editing power with ease. And, if your lucky, one that may work with HTML Egg 2.

Good luck!

In this new version of Egg, you feel cheated that you now must do the work that the old versions of the App. did for you.

It just honestly feels like they scaled this down so that it is far less complicated and costly on their part to keep running. Then they just put the most important stuff, "behind the screen stuff" that the old app. once did, all in your hands now. So much more work for you, the user.

This makes maintaining the app. far less costly to the developer, but puts the true hard work in the users hands.

I guess the developer (Aidaluu inc.) forgot why we all loved the older versions, because they did all the hard work for us. When things make our lives eaiser, we buy them. When they dont, we stop buying them. Wake up Aidaluu.
Isn't that what we really all want, an App that does the hard work for us? Because if the app cant do what we want, then it becomes useless.

Cutting cost it seems has directly cut the quality of this product as well.....

P.S. if they didn't cut cost and they still have the same staff that wrote the older versions, then they should really start asking themselves why are these people still employees?

Someone needs to fix this once great product and return it to its glory....

Just my thoughts….
