HTX Trash and Recycling 4+

Great app for updated information!

City of Houston and specifically the Solid Waste Department have done an outstanding job of trying to keep up with the increased demand for services while dealing with outdated and insufficient equipment. This app has helped tremendously by informing us of when services will be expected and notifications of any foreseen delays. Gone are the days of neighbors asking on the Nextdoor app when regular trash, yard waste, heavy trash or recycling will be picked up. It has eliminated many, many calls to 311 for that information. Thank you. Job well done 👏👏👏

Absolutely Vital App!

Very simply this app informs you of regular and specialty collection days. Holiday schedules happen and they can be inconvenient, with this app you can lower your frustrations a bit bc you’ll know that recycling is 2 weeks away instead of leaving your bins on the street and wondering everyday what’s going on. The layout is infinitely more helpful than the city website too.

Never Finds My Address

It doesn’t matter how I input my address, this app has yet to find it. I tried to select one of the suggested addresses that comes up as you’re typing, and I get an error that it can’t be found. It doesn’t populate the suggested address in the search when selected, so I manually type in the suggested address and get the same error.

What happened to the Roll Out app? It worked.

I had the same issue with the website online - please tell me how to input my own address for this to work (the post office seems to know it in the same format I use…). Otherwise, where can I find a calendar/schedule online that doesn’t require an address to be input to get this information.
