HuntLeague 2.4 offers several new activity types. Over the past year we have received tons of feedback and questions about logging activities that fall outside of just a hunt or scout. We added "Caller" for times you go to the field to help call in an animal for a buddy. "Tagalong (no tag)" has been added when you participate in a hunt with a buddy but you don't have a tag. Select the "Mentor" activity when taking a family member, young person, or first time hunter out. HuntLeague 2.4 also offers a "Guide/Outfitter" activity allowing professionals to capture and share client stories privately or with the community. These new activities pave the way for future leagues and add new leaderboard, map, and hunt log filters. For example, HuntLeague members will be able to filter for top performing guides/outfitters and review hunt logs that have been shared with the community. This will help our members determine if an outfitter provides the experience they are looking for in a future hunt. Elevation has been added for all stored waypoints under the event details. Whether we see declining turkey numbers, the reintroduction of wolves, a ban on bear hunting, or the impacts of wildfires; your hunting knowledge and legacy should be preserved and passed on to others helping shape future conservation efforts. 3. Hunter Recruitment: Often when we discuss hunter recruitment issues it has to do with access to land, equipment, and lack of mentors/training. HuntLeague is committed to helping remove barriers of entry for both new and seasoned hunters. There can be a big barrier for a duck hunter in Louisiana to jump into their first Western big game hunt or vice versa. By sharing hunt logs, we inspire new and existing hunters to expand their horizons and be willing to take that next step to hunt a new species and chase that next adventure. 4. Privacy & Location Information: Location specific data is not and will not be available with shared logs on the Community page. We realize how important it is for you as a hunter to find and protect your special spot. Your privacy and protecting personal information is a top priority. Hunt Logs are never automatically shared and you will always maintain control of what you share and who you share it with. Nervous you shared too much? Simply uncheck a box and your hunt log will no longer be shared on the Community page or with the selected buddy, party, or league. The share options are intentionally placed at the bottom of each Hunt Log. This allows you to first review your notes, pictures, videos, etc before you choose to share your story. Hunt Areas/Stands are listed but the names of those areas/stands are not visible to others as they often contain unit or location specific information not intended for public sharing.
