Where to begin...

As a first time parent, this seemed like a wonderful thing to have with awesome potential. The camera is well designed...I fact all the hardware seems great. The only way to use it, unfortunately, is through its app. The app...oh, the app...

First, the connection is always spotty. It goes in and out constantly and every few minutes it gets unconnected. When it does, a horribly loud beep from the camera lets your baby know the wifi has been disconnected and will wake her up. How nice. This will happen 4-5 times an hour.

Also, there is a bright green LED light flashing while it's on. In the app settings there is a button to turn it off...it doesn't fricken work. You need to put tape over the light to keep it from, again, waking your sleeping baby.

When using the app, it is sluggish and slow. Also, the UI design looks 8 years old (can I please replace the stock photo of the baby with my own child, please!?). Once you log in (if you can) you can use all the features and use the camera. If you switch to another app it will lose connection, hang, and you'll have to close the ibaby app and restart to get the connection back. Every. Single. Time.

I feel like ibaby paid for a lot of good developers to make the fancy gimmicks this app offers, but decided to hire chimpanzees to do the network engineering and basic usability of the app.

This app is a nightmare and is totally unusable. I will absolutely be returning this product.

Can we get an update on this app?!?! The newest update was 3 years ago!!!! That’s insane!!!! How can you expect to still sell this monitor and not be on top of the app when that’s how you use the thing?

I would like to like this device, but I don’t know if I can. The camera seems to be great and there are no complaints with that. The app however does not work at all! The initial download and setup worked with just a few hiccups. However, every time I go to use it the app crashes as soon as it opens. I don’t even get past the “login successful” screen. It doesn’t matter what I do, it just crashes. All the reviews for this app are old, much like the latest update. I was hoping that the bugs would have been worked out after having all negative reviews about it constantly crashing, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Maybe now that they receive a newer review?!?!

Please, please just update your app to fix the crashing issue!!

I can't even express how much I feel about this application and the hardware.. If you bought this or received it as a gift, return it right now! It doesn't even work. First off, the setup. Took me 2 days to get it to actual display anything. I have a iPhone 6s and it did not setup at all, however, the setup did finish off my wife's iPhone 6. When you do actually get it setup, it will work for a few minutes and you'll lose your WiFi connection. I'm one room away from WiFi and it says my connection is low. It's not even 75 feet like the manual says! You leave the application, forget it.. you'll lose the video display! Ridiculous!! Not to mention it constantly beeps and wakes up my child with no option to turn it off under the settings. The user interface doesn't even look polished, it's garbage.. PLEASE save yourself hours of frustration and get something else..
