Child Heart Surgery

In this interactive 3-D animation, our doctors compare a healthy heart to one with a complex congenital condition called tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia and major aortopulmonary collateral arteries (MAPCAs). You get to learn about the heart by moving, rotating and exploring it yourself. Our doctors also guide you through the innovative repair technique, called unifocalization, which involves rebuilding the blood vessel connection between the heart and lungs, usually in just one surgery. You can perform a simplified (and non-gory) simulation of this surgery at the end of the app. Currently, the app only supports iPad 3 or later.
