A simple and fast application that allows you to trim, rotate, change the speed and resize your videos. Features: - load your video (mov-m4v-mp4 file); - drag and drop video files from "Finder" or from "Library" panel; - insert your cutting markers to trim the video; - rotate the video (rotate left/right, vertical/horizontal flip); - set the width and height (free or proportionally resizing); - choose the aspect (to fit or stretch); - change the video speed; - enable/disable the audio track; - export your video choosing the format (mov-m4v-mp4).

A waste of time

I bought this app simply to trim a few seconds off the beginnings and endings of some mp4 videos. Quicktime Player is inaccurate—in it you’re able to hold down the trimmer button for more precision, supposedly, but even when you do it doesn’t save the file using the same frames as you chose so what you’re left with might start and end in the middle of credits or music that has already started or has not yet stopped. iMovie takes far too long to import a video, which will take just as much time to export when you’ve finished, for such a simple task; plus, its controls are much too complicated because it’s meant for true editing, such as inserting clips or adding music and narration, etc. I tried so many third party apps as well, and so far they all have the same problems: they’re either inaccurate or too complicated. So I thought I’d try the offical App Store (I’m very willing to pay for software that works), but this app, Trimmer, is not it—it functions exactly the same as Quicktime with all it’s unreliability.

This app is a great little single-tasker. The design is refreshingly simple, elegant, and intuitive, and it makes me want to try out the other apps from the same developer.When I first used it, there was a bug that prevented me from opening .mp4s from the Import button, but I was able to get around that by dragging the .mp4 directly to the main editing window from Finder. When I reported it to the developer, he responded the same day and pushed out a fix 24 hours later. Great support and a great app.
