MyDistrict Delivery App is designed for newspaper carriers and district managers. The first version includes features for Dispatch (redelivery) tracking, and for parcel delivery. Upcoming versions will include GPS, single copy, and home delivery.
The dispatch feature coordinates communication between the publisher, the distributor, and the carrier. It provides the carrier with an easy interface for tracking his redelivery tasks and communicating status upstream.
The parcel delivery app is designed to track custody of parcels from third party shipping partners that require strict controls up to delivery. This technology allows the distributor to deliver a wider variety of product, and diversify his business.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
