Footlight is a simple lighting console that runs right from your laptop. Just hook up a USB-to-DMX interface and Footlight allows you to patch channels, record cues, and play them back. Features: • Ability to patch LED lighting instruments as well as conventional dimmers • Cue-based recording • Tracking and Cue Only modes • Chase sequence support • Automarking • Auto-Continue cues • OSC interaction Works with the EntTec Open DMX, DMX Pro, and DMX Pro Mk2 USB interface.

I have a small show I run with QLab 3. I run a software lighting control in the background, which QLab triggers when the light cues are suppose to fire. I’ve not been very happy with my options for lighting control on the Mac. I just discovered this yesterday and it is perfect for my needs. Sure, I could spend an extra $750 and upgrade to QLab4, letting it handle everything, but that’s not the best solution for me. I love the simplicity of this and, so far in my testing, it does everything I need it to. Keep up the great work!

Sure, I could spend an extra $750 and upgrade to QLab4, letting it handle everything, but that’s not the best solution for me. I have run this program for years to control lights for puppet and live performances. It's dead simple to use. I've programmed RGB led strips with it, in addition to other fixtures. Haven't wanted anything it can't do. It's been fantastic.

Thanks to the author of this program. It is convenient for writing simple cues and testing lighting looks. It has its flaws - I have noticed a slight delay after hitting the go button as the next cue loads, and the “loop” feature is hard to figure out for programming a chase - but hey, it’s free and allows you to use a cheap USB-DMX box to control hundreds of lights, so I am not complaining.

Thanks to the author of this program. It is convenient for writing simple cues and testing lighting looks. It has its flaws - I have noticed a slight delay after hitting the go button as the next cue loads, and the “loop” feature is hard to figure out for programming a chase - but hey, it’s free and allows you to use a cheap USB-DMX box to control hundreds of lights, so I am not complaining.

Every time you start the application it complains that it find DMX interface but is missing drivers. You then click the provided driver link, install, reboot….. still doesnt work. Gave up after wasting an hour.
