MediWear is a medical ID app designed for your Apple Watch.

In the event of a medical emergency, you can rely on MediWear to provide first responders with the medical information they need at just a glance. With quick and easy access through the Complication, and the ability to call emergency contacts in just a tap, MediWear is simple to use but powerful in its capabilities.

MediWear contains these great features:

Without the need to unlock your iPhone, MediWear shows all of your medical information from your wrist. First responders can simply open the app on your Apple Watch without requiring authentication - something you may not be able to provide at the time.

Add one of the supported Complications to your Watch Face for quick and easy access to your medical ID. Choose a Complication with text and you’ll see text that you can configure from the iPhone app.

When first responders get to the scene, they’ll be able to take a look at your wrist and instantly know your name and medical conditions - no need to guess!

Personal information is always hidden when your Apple Watch with Always-On display is facing down to protect your privacy.

By configuring emergency contacts on the iPhone app, first responders will be able to call them in just a tap.

Add a contact and their name and phone number will automatically populate. You’ll then be able to add their relationship to you so emergency responders know who they are.

If you’ve left your iPhone at home, cellular Apple Watch model owners can take advantage of the ability to still be able to call contacts directly in the app.

Using the iPhone app, you’ll be able to enter all of your medical conditions, medication, emergency contacts, name and date of birth. You can also add some custom Complication text too.

MediWear saves all of your data to your personal iCloud account. This means the developer has no access to your data and, you’ll be able to quickly get setup with your medical ID when you get a new iPhone or Apple Watch.

Everything is fine except for this bug

At first everything was fine until I added the year of birth, apparently the older years will just switch over from 19__ to 20__. I hope this gets fixed because it’s important to my grandfather.

Developer Response ,

Hi, apologies for this! Can you try again using the latest update please?

Works good , except .......

My medication list keeps disappearing and I can’t use the app when the watch is on lock screen , other than that it’s a nice app

Developer Response ,

Hi, version 2.0.1 was released yesterday to fix the bug you describe - if you see it again then please email In regards to your other issue, no Apple Watch apps work when the device is locked - same way your iPhone functions.

It’s Been 2 Years. Former Fan of this App is Done.

It was amazing when it worked. Considering the vast amount of time I’ve spent trying to get it to update, and by that, I mean, show ANY of the info I’ve entered, AT ALL, and that odds are greatest my watch would have shown NOTHING most of the time, should emergency personnel have had need to press the medic complication on my watch, I’m so done playing playing with this thing. I wrote a five star review long ago, mentioning my concerns of potential danger when the app failed (which was far less often back then) yet somehow it’s only become worse. Would love for this to work again someday. Can’t say I’ll ever waste more time on it though.

Developer Response ,

Hi, MediWear has recently been rebuilt so previous issues should no longer exist. I invite you to test out this new version and if you are still experiencing issues then please email: Please consider updating your review otherwise :)
