Good except for the instructions

The instructions for importing a script were, "Share your file using the share button and select 'Open with Voice Teleprompter." I eventually translated that to mean, prepare your script on another computer and upload it to (I used Dropbox). Then, with the iPad, go to the uploaded file in Dropbox, and click on share. A dialog box opens on the iPad with choices of who to share the file with. One of the choices is "Open with Voice Teleprompter." I clicked on that and the file successfully loaded into Voice Teleprompter and was good to go. I got it to work, no thanks to the instructions. Works fine now, notwithstanding some of the complaints shared by other reviewers.

Voice feature works fine

App has a feature allowing to use voice to control script scrolling. The voice feature is why we have to pay extra. If paying extra, it would be great if the app recorded also. Other apps record with script overlay and allow for greenscreen replacement and lower thirds placement.

Awful — save your money

This works great if you have time to constantly delete and reinstall the app, but there are so many things about this that just don’t work. When you add a script, you better make sure it’s perfect, because there is no editing once you’ve hit “save”. When you rename files, it gets stuck and won’t let you “exit” the file renaming screen, so you have to close the app altogether just to access your files. And then when you go to use the teleprompter feature, half the time it just doesn’t scroll. So you have to delete and reinstall the app. I wish I had taken more of these negative reviews seriously. Don’t waste your time or money. DO NOT download this app.

It's Completely Unusable, Don't Use It If You're A Professional

WARNING: There is no support currently if you download this app. I was very excited to use this app cause I do a lot of filming by myself. While other reviews pointed out how the app is too sensitive with the sound activating scrolling I was able to get in front of the camera without causing it to scroll. The biggest problem I had with the app is the speed settings. I would set the speed at a certain level and even though I tested it a number of times. As soon as I started speaking I front of the camera it would scroll at the default speed again which is 25. I even tested this at the speed level 5 and regardless it would run at 25 just about every time. Also sometimes if it was set to "stop speaking" it would still scroll when I spoke. I would have to set it to stop speaking then to start speaking and then to stop speaking again to get it to stop.I have deadlines to make and with issues like this it makes it completely unusable when you can't effectively control the speed of scrolling.
