Subscription fee for a calculator

I am a hobbyist wood worker and was looking for a calculator to do fractional math occasionally. Once or twice a month. I’m not paying a subscription for a construction calculator. I would have been willing to pay a ONE time fee for a calculator. I can buy a real calculator that can complete these operations for the cost of this app. Not worth it to me.

I bought this a few years ago in a lump sum to be able to use this app for life. It got an update 2 days ago. When i opened this app today, it asked me to pay to get rid of the advertisement windows at the bottom of the screen. Really?

Hello, I believe there may have been some confusion. Until recently, our Construction Calculator app was ad-free. However, we introduced ads as a means to sustain our livelihood from the app. If you could send a copy of your original purchase receipt to our support email, we should be able to resolve this issue. I have used this for many years and LOVED it but what in the world is this awful convoluted updated? And you changed to a subscription model? If yall had left it alone I would have considered paying a small subscription but not now!!!! This is an unusable mess!
