Perfect addition for the other PKM nerdz out there

I wrote a review a while ago, but just adding how amazing this app is for personal knowledge management. The deep linking is SO useful for how i personally like to link notes to their references, annotated highlighting is also really great, and the offline saving, tags, and folders is a trifecta not available in any other bookmark or read it later app.

Overall, I think this app has some great features and the subscription price is very reasonable for what it does.Built-in website parsing, the ability to upload files without having to attach them to documents, and many other things.However, it does not really lend itself to complex notes. There doesn't appear to be a way of editing full-page (only a little pop-up editing window) and no support for any kind of formatting, not even Markdown. It also cannot display the files that you upload to it. I uploaded a plain-text file, but it cannot be displayed in the app AND to view it I have to DOWNLOAD it first (even though it should be local, as I just imported it) and then open it externally. The bigger issue for me is that this is clearly aimed at the Asian market. The user manual and initial documents are all in CN (Chinese), even parts of the UI are in CN and cannot be changed. For instance, I uploaded a text file. When I select it, it provides some properties but they are in CN...I have no idea what it is telling me. It connects to WeChat and Weibo, but nothing used in the U.S.Also, the data clearly syncs somewhere - my text document was uploaded and not stored locally in the app, for example - but there is no mention of where or how my files are stored (are they encrypted? Who has the key?)The obvious answer is China, and that should be a show-stopper for most people in the U.S. There is NO expectation of privacy when you are syncing data to Chinese servers. Anything sent there is able to be read by the government. For me, that makes this a “no”. With better English support and a guarantee that my data was syncing to US or European servers, it could be a strong “maybe”

Hi there, we have recently released the international version of Cubox with English language and different server, you can choose your region or "Other international cubox.cc users" option before logging in and it will be the English version. I really appreciate the new features and upgrades in Cubox. I haven't upgraded to premium yet (I plan to), but even the free version offers so many helpful features:The article parsing is excellent, especially with the feature imagine previewThe Random Pick widget is what I need to remind me of articles I bookmarked. I appreciate how easy it is to bookmark links using the Google and iOS extensions. I look forward to trying out the Email Newsletter and Voice-to-text features.
