Use your phone to calculate the distance to an object in sight, where it is not practical to measure in other ways. For long distances using GPS to determine an appropriate baseline and then triangulate with the built-in compass. For short distances by stepping an appropriate baseline and then triangulate using the compass. You can also check your long/lat and address.
