Does exactly what it says it does, and does it well! Accurate, quick, and reliable.
Love this app!
Works quickly and accurately. Plus the prayer times it provides are super helpful. I use it every day!
Does not point in the correct direction
I am not a Muslim but I downloaded this and used it on to different days while in the same location where I have all 5 bars of cell coverage. Both times it gave me completely different directions for Mecca. This app does not work.
Developer Response ,
If the app gave you two different readings from
the same location this is not the fault of the app but rather the calibration of your phones compass. It has nothing to do with how many bars of signal you have, and it is completely out of our control and totally up to apple. If the iPhones compass did not fully calibrate (which can sometimes take as long as a minute, and requires the phone to be tilted in different directions for a bit - as is mentioned in the app instructions upon first opening the app), then the app will provide the “correct” direction based on the iPhone’s supplied information. The fact that the app has been thoroughly tested, and has been downloaded thousands of times without complaint, only serves to justify our claim.
Further more, we provided an easy way to provide feedback directly from the app, which you could have used to contact us and inform us of the “bug” you were experiencing. We then could have informed you of the above and attempted to help you find a solution to your calibration issue. Instead, however, you chose to go straight to the App Store and leave us a 1 Star review and claim that the app “doesn’t work” when in fact it simply “didn’t work” for you (and after only two attempts, according to your post). This is not fair to us, who worked many hours to create and upkeep the app, and it certainly was not the appropriate first response when there are numerous ways to contact us for support and bug reporting.
We kindly ask that you download our app again and test it again (after using the compass app to insure your compass is properly calibrated) and then adjusting your rating and review based on the results.
Thank you, and happy prayers :)
