No pressure
You can't fail a song. Miss a note and the song keeps going. There is no energy meter and no countdown. One button starts a song, and there is no difficulty to pick.
It is still a challenge if you want one. The fast songs keep your thumbs busy, and five stars takes a nearly flawless run.
How it plays
You start with two ships, one for each thumb. Later songs add a third ship, then a fourth. Notes fly toward the ships and you tap as each one arrives. The tap is the drum hit: a kick, a snare, a tom, a hi-hat or a crash. The song plays, and you play its percussion part over the top.
Every hit is judged Perfect, Early or Late. Perfect hits in a row build a combo, and the combo raises your score. Each song gives you up to 5 stars.
The first planet teaches you the drumming.
Odyssey
Odyssey is the main mode: 100+ planets in a fixed order, one song per planet. Some songs are slow and some are fast.
Stars open the next planet. Each planet needs a few more than the one before, and you earn them by playing.
The first 20 planets are free.
Infinity and Saved Levels
Infinity is the endless mode. It opens when you have 15 stars, and it stays free. Every level is a new remix made from a library of 675 loops.
When you get a level you like, save it from the end screen. It goes in your Saved list so you can play it again.
The music
All of the music is original and was made for Sound Sky. It is instrumental and chill, and the slower songs get meditative. Music and sound by Craig Barnes.
Use headphones if you have them.

Good to know
- Audio Delay is a slider in Settings with a metronome. Use it to line your taps up with your headphones or speakers.
- Your progress, including stars and Saved Levels, comes back after a reinstall when you are signed in to iCloud.
- Plays on iPhone and iPad.

Most other music beat apps like Music Tiles, etc all have songs that are NOT appropriate like Billie Eilish song “Bad Guy” about a boyfriend that beats up/abuses his girlfriend. After checking all the Magic Tiles/Music Tiles apps, they all contain a few songs that are definitely inappropriate for our youth. This app is not the case. Great beats with no lyrics that everyone can enjoy. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait for next group of songs!!!
Fun and Relaxing
New at journaling
Once you play for so long in a single sitting you have to watch an ad or pay to keep playing, but I kind of like that it forces me not to sit in play for hours. I will play for 10 minutes to relax and then get up and do something and then play again later in the day or the next day. Or if I’m really sucked in I will just watch some ads and play some more!

So hi. If anyone is wanting to buy this game it wouldn’t be my top recommendation. Yes the groovy songs and the music that makes you want to dance, doesn’t mean that this game it all fun. It isn’t much of a game really. I personally feel like it is a great game choice to deal with stress or anxiety or anger or sadness or just something to calm down with. However, I do find the tapping of the game quite addictive.
