A commercial in another app brought me to this game, because of the art of the mineral monsters, and I was not disappointed with the lore that’s come with the great art. With lore and varying upgrade requirements, along with the changes in the ‘combat’ with each dominant mineral type, this game avoids being TOO repetitive like most mining type games. It’s still repetitive but decently so. One of the main reasons I’m giving it 4 not 5 stars is because the increased difficultly/aka amount and kind of requirements for leveling up combat and such does not match up with a change in repetition. The game gets hard, but stays the same amount repetitive, offering little incentive to keep going once you’d become stuck (other than in game premium resource purchases, which aren’t an option for everyone). I’ll get sucked into this game for long stretches the get stuck for days, more than a week of trying to get past a layer, with no advancement. It loses my attention and I move on, to eventually come back and either get past of the level EVENTUALLY or repeat the pattern with that lauer, or even a later layer. Overall it’s fun, sometimes worth paying a few bucks towards, good progressive storytelling, among other things. The game also has some bugs and issues, but I’m hoping the most recent update might have addressed them. The biggest of note are that when switching between applications, if you’re listening to anything the game interferes with the playback, even if games sounds are completely off. The other, newest issue is that I can only click on the upper inventory/store buttons about 20% of the time, and it’s definitley not an issue with my screen. Hopefully they’ll work themselves out sooner rather than later, but worth noting if anyone is experiencing these issues.
