Alpha runs entirely on your Mac. Your photos are never uploaded, it works offline, and it's a one-time purchase with no subscription.
YOU CHOOSE, YOU REFINE
Built-in tools take everything they find and leave no way to fix the result. Alpha does:
• Click an object to keep only it. Shift-click to add another, Option-click to take one away.
• Object or Person mode: products, pets and things — or people, up to four in a photo.
• A brush with Erase and Restore and adjustable size, strength and softness for hair, fur and tricky edges.
• Hold \ to compare with the original at any moment.
A WHOLE FOLDER AT ONCE
• Drop dozens of photos into one window — each one is cut out right away.
• Only the images that need a look are marked: nothing found, an error or edited by hand. Needs Review shows the ones where nothing was found or something went wrong.
• One Export saves every result as a PNG into a folder of your choice. Your originals are never changed.
USE IT ANYWHERE
• Drag the cutout to the Finder or another app, copy it with ⌘C, or share it via AirDrop, Messages and Notes.
• Stickers, collages, product photos, presentations, websites.
• PNG with transparency; wide-gamut (Display P3) photos keep their color.
MADE FOR THE MAC
• Opens JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF and GIF; iPhone photos open upright.
• Checkerboard, white, black or a color of your choice behind the cutout — on screen only.
• Undo and Redo for every step, zoom with a pinch or the wheel, keyboard shortcuts for everything.
• Available in 20 languages.

• Drop many photos into one window: each one is cut out right away and the results appear in a grid.
• Needs Review shows only the images that need a look. One Export saves them all as transparent PNGs.
• Switch the whole window between Object and Person, or try a single image in the other mode.
One window for one image or many
• The same window is an editor for one photo and a grid for many. Double-click a result to edit it; ← and → move between images.
More control
• Click to keep one object, Shift-click to add one, Option-click to take one away.
• A new inspector shows the settings of the current tool; the brush preview shows its size and softness.
• Choose what's behind the cutout: checkerboard, white, black or any color.
• Drag the result to the Finder, copy it with ⌘C or share it.
