I love the simple design of the app but it simply doesn’t speak at the specific intervals. I’ve tried restarting the app to no avail.

Well, it’s a good app. It does exactly what it says it does. Here are, in my opinion, the pros and cons.Pros:Simple. You can set it to tell you every 5, 10, 20, 30, or 60 seconds the elapsed timeWorks if you exit the appWorks if you lock your screenConsDoes not work with music playing. Music will stop and the timer will speak. Music will not resume. Instead, what should happen is the music should duck under speech until it’s done and then raise back to full volumeThe voice is non-adjustable. It can’t be sped up or slowed down. It can’t be made louder or quiter. You can’t raise the pitch to its original, because believe me, that is not the original. You cannot change it at all, not even to a totally different voice, if you should have any installed.Has adds with no way to remove them. They are unubtrusive though. If the developer fixed some of this, I’d gladly give it five stars and recommend it for all my friends who run like me. I use this to announce how many minutes I’ve been going, and it’s really useful to have a reference when I’m at one minute, two, three, etc, then know whether I should speed up or if I’m on track to finish my mile in the time I want.

This app does 90% of what I want. It allows for an audible timer when running. Very handy for timed intervals. I would perfect if you could still listen to music or podcasts and this app would talk above these other things.
