This app gives users access to Emergency Assistance Japan's OSSMA LOCATOR, a cloud-based system that helps ensure student safety during study abroad.
The app enhances OSSMA ease of use by adding safety verification push-messaging to email functionality.

◎ OSSMA member students who have completed the OSSMA LOCATOR system registration
■ FEATURES
◎ Current Location Reporting
A member student confirms his or her safety by initiating the transmission of a current location report. School administrators and parents or guardians can view and assess this information on the OSSMA LOCATOR system.
◎ Emergency Assistance
When a member student abroad runs into the unexpected, such as illness or injury, he or she can connect by telephone at any time of day with an EAJ assistance expert to obtain advice and comprehensive support. Depending upon the circumstances, this support may include making of appointments and hospital arrangements, placement of guarantees of payment, telephone interpretation to facilitate communications with a physician or hospital staff, referrals to medical facilities with multilingual capabilities, or arrangement of medically assisted transportation of the member back to his or her home country.
◎ Security Alerts
EAJ issues timely security updates and alerts regarding matters of public safety, natural disasters, terrorism, political unrest, and epidemics. Updates and alerts are based on information gathered through EAJ’s extensive, worldwide agent network.
◎ Other
Other information necessary in order to accessing services, such as membership number and a link to the OSSMA Locator, are also posted.
