The app works fine for controlling boot heaters but it would be awesome if it had some shortcuts. I wear bluetooth headphones in my helmet and it would be amazing to be able to ask Siri to set the heat to a level or pause heating without taking the phone out of my pocket.

Update: contacted customer support. Responded quickly. Had to do a hard reset of the batteries. That resolved the issue for me. Working again as it did before the update. Worked great all last year. Latest update a few weeks ago broke it. Won’t reconnect to units after you turn them off and back on unless you delete them from the app and re add them again. Basically the blue tooth function with the app is effectively now broken. Disappointed. Now having to use them manually like the non Bluetooth version.

I’m surprised by the ratings and other review; my experience with Therm-ic heated clothing (and this app) has been excellent.I use the heated vest and heated socks. Bluetooth control works well and has been consistent for me. The Apple Watch app makes it easy to adjust temperature from the ski lift without having to get my phone out. I prefer to have full control over my heat settings so I don’t use the eco or motion control modes, but they seemed to work as advertised when I tested them.Be sure to upgrade your battery packs to the latest firmware if they come with an old version. And if your ski group is waiting for you to get out the door, whatever you do, don’t tell them “I’ll be ready soon I just need to upgrade the firmware in my socks.” :)

I just purchased a pair of Rossignol ski boots with the Thermic IC liner. I haven’t skied with them yet but after a couple of days of testing they seem to connect to the phone well. The battery life appears to be adequate but the battery indicator doesn’t work at all. I tested a pair of Salomon heated boots that had a much better app but the boots didn’t fit my foot as well. I’ll be skiing with these in a week and will update the review after some real world use.
