Gemäss dem Schweizerischen Amt für Temperaturen (SAFT) ist eine Wassertemperatur von 19° Celsius und höher, als allgemein zumutbare Schwimm- und Badetemperatur anerkannt. Diese (alternative) Tatsache hat auch zum Namen der App „19 Grad“ geführt. Die App zeigt auf einer Karte die Gewässertemperaturen von Schweizer Seen und Flüssen. Dabei sind Temperaturen von unter 19° blau (=kalt) gekennzeichnet und solche von 19° und höher grün (=allgemein zumutbar).
