The UH CareLink app was created to help UH SIU patients take control of their own health, and in doing so, help improve their quality of life. This app allows patients to keep track of appointments, medications and other items related to their care. With UH CareLink, you can set up reminders for upcoming appointments and when to take your medications. This app can help you keep track of what you need to bring to each appointment, important information about all your medications, including dosage frequency and special instructions, and allows you to input CareNotes about special care-related issues or instructions from your physician. Additionally, this app allows you to access patient education information as well as news, events and support group information for UH SIU patients.

The UH Carelink app stores personal information related to your health care.
In order to be compliant with HIPAA regulations and protect the user's information, the Carelink app will lock the device after certain period of inactivity to protect sensitive information that is saved within the app. This security feature requires Device Administrator Permission.
When the app launches for the first time, it will ask you to grant this permission along with the explanation why this permission is required for protecting health information.
