Check accurate Atmospheric pressure and Altitude wherever you are!
Barometer and Altimeter is a simple application for measuring atmospheric pressure and altitude.
The application uses:
- built-in GPS,
- built-in pressure sensor / barometer (if the device does not have a barometric sensor, application retrieves atmospheric pressure data via the Internet from the nearest meteorological station),
- automatic altitude and atmospheric pressure calibration algorithm, based on data from local meteorological stations.
Barometer and Altimeter features:
- accurate height measurement above sea level (from GPS and other sensors),
- accurate measurement of barometric pressure (if the device is equipped in pressure sensor and check data available online)
- GPS coordinates, name of location, country
- information and current weather data from your local weather station (if available).
- outside temperature,
- wind speed,
- visibility,
- humidity, hygrometer (if device is equipped with appropriate sensors).
Exemplary uses of a barometer or altimeter tracker:
- health and medical - by monitoring the atmosferic pressure, you can be prepared for pressure jumps, headaches, migraine and malaise,
- for fishermen and anglers who fishing and sailing - monitoring the atmospheric pressure and weather you can increase the chances for good fishing,
- sportsmen and tourists,
- for determining, predicting and checking weather, air temperature, wind speed,
- to check the location,
- for pilots for check pressure and altitude,
- sailors, seamans and surfers can check the wind.
Using this barometer tracker is simpler than using an aneroid or mercury barometer. Our Barometer and Altimeter tracker is easy to use, simple and handy.
Warning! Some portable devices (tablets, phones, smartphones) do not have a built-in pressure sensor. On these devices, the measurements may be less accurate as they will be based on data from the local meteorological stations.

Enjoy and have a good time with this app!
I tried a bunch of Barometer apps after my old one stopped working. Yes, you have to allow access to "motion and fitness" for it to work. Apple really didn't consider the Barometer use case when they made that change. This app turned out to be the best choice for me. It's easy to read without being overly cute. It also gives you elevation and some relevant weather information. It reads directly from your iPhone sensor and will adjust for altitude, so you can use it in off-line mode. I checked pressure against another utility tool that reads the same sensor and it was spot on. You can also fine tune the pressure if you find that necessary. The ads aren't really that bad. The app lets you use it in free mode several times before an ad will pop up, and I didn't see any obnoxious animated ads. For a very reasonable two dollars, instead of a ridiculous subscription, I paid the developer to get rid of the ads. It's obviously a winning app giving its position in the App Store and the five star reviews. Very happy with it.
Great app

This is an excellent app. It is right to the point, with no unnecessary clutter. Just like going to a barometer on the wall. Has many setting options for me to set it to my liking. It also has an altitude page. It's the first app for me that gives the true altitude for my location. I like that I can set the barometer to my GPS location, or to a Station location. I recommend this app to anyone interested in the weather.

It does what it claims to do. It’s not helpful for my use case as I want to track data over time. This just gives the current reading. Unfair to ding it for not having features the developer clearly doesn’t care about. That’s fair. The ads, however, are the most annoying imaginable. Give me 10 minutes on launch to explore the app before you inundate me with obnoxious ads. I get you want people to buy your app. And I appreciate that you don’t make me pay before checking it out. But there’s no way I’m buying this if you constantly barrage me with ads. Even if I liked the app I’d look elsewhere. Please just give me 10 minutes to play around. Better yet a couple of days. Without having to sign up. If I like it, I’ll buy it. I want apps that I like to be successful
Gets Confused

I enjoy knowing air pressure and temp. I live close to an airport with a tower and have access to the NOAA info. Everything has worked well. Recently I traveled to Europe. Everything worked well there, however during my return I opened Barometer on the plane and the altimeter pegged. Interesting. On arrival in the US it appeared to function correctly again. The problem now is it fails to give the correct outside temperature. It almost as if I were getting the reading of the location where I stayed in Europe. For a while it only gave a temp in Celsius. Puzzling!
