Minor Bug Fix
Ratings and Reviews
So I’ve been playing this game for about a week. I love the concept. It is great. What I don’t love is how inconsistent the controls are. Sometimes pushing the back button takes me back, sometimes I don’t move at all. I know it’s not a device issue because I just purchased my iPhone 8. I really want to keep this game but also want to not be so upset I need to close the game because my buttons don’t work. Please fix this issue.
A Simple Concept I’d Love to See Expanded
I’m a fan of this game and others made by this developer. There’s usually some type of strategy to them despite simple controls, and Dunkers 2 is no exception. If you get a feel for it, it can be really fun to see which players you use the best. Eagle jumps high, Monkey is strong enough to knock down any human opponents (surprisingly not too overpowered, can get absolutely slammed on), and the “Yo Ming” character is long enough to make patient defense really pay off. The gameplay is solid as is for mobile, but I would love to see a console adaptation.
I really think that console release with separate jumping and arm movement controls could be a solid game that would really kill on the market. The currency could stay the same, you could keep the free price of admission, and you’d still net money for it if you fill its run with content releases. The controls that I’d figure would work best is a configuration where each arm gets each stick, and the bottom triggers do the movement. I also think that having a button to release the ball could be an absolute game changer. Alley-oops, jumpshots, and even some creative dribbling would be possible then. I would absolutely love to see the concept expanded in any form, but I’m certainly a fan of what the original concept has produced thus far. Congratulations on the success with this one!
For the next Dunkers
Dunkers 2 is a perfect game to play when bored, but it’s too limited.
For Dunkers 3 I think it would be very fun if there were new characters from the NBA, and each character had a ability that would make it more unique. Also, there should be more things to change each character like hats or more things like that. Another thing is a new game mode, it would make it more interesting to play and maybe a kind of small story to unlock other accessories for some characters.
